We gathered again on the 27^th May 2010, the last meeting for this academic year. The next one will be when everyone returns from their summer breaks. We were assigned different tasks in preparation for the upcoming events.

The main highlight this time was the Meet & Greet session, which is to take place in Malaysia sometime in August. Details like where and when are yet to be confirmed but all seniors are invited to come and make the event a success. Let’s meet the potential juniors and socialise, plus there will be free food!

Oh we might have our very own QMMsoc T-shirt/Hoodie next year! J

Finally, the team would like to wish everyone Happy Holidays and Good Luck to those still having exams.

It was a relatively relaxed atmosphere as Mr President ran through our portfolio, emphasising on each person’s role and the importance of commitment. Just to name a few, the possible events you can anticipate and look forward to include Freshers’ Fair, Raya + Freshers’ Dinner, Nottingham Games & Krispy Kreme Charity Bake Sale, Chinese New Year Dinner, Theatre & Musical Trips, [LDN] rock!, traditional British afternoon tea and more social outings – think paintball, go-karts and ice-skating rinks!

We also discussed about sponsorship and means of funding our activities. We are all excited thinking about the fun times that we will have together, we hope you are too.

Thank you for your trust and support; we will try our best and not let you down.

Finally, we would like to wish everyone Good Luck in the coming exams and enjoy the summer break!

Alright guys, it’s the time of the year again when we celebrate Chinese New Year, the Year of the Tiger to be exact (for those who are yet to grasp the fact that we ARE in 2010).

This year, QMMSoc is organizing an 8-course Chinese New Year dinner at Wong Kei Restaurant, China town. It will consist of a variety of dishes which will hopefully be able to satisfy our cravings for great food and atmosphere.

For the interest of our Muslim friends, there is an alternative seafood-and-vegetables-ONLY menu (also 8-course!). Do note that all dishes are cooked using PALM OIL as the ONLY cooking oil, so rest assure that we have done the best we could to make the necessary arrangements in order to cater for everyone’s needs.
