We are a society aimed at promoting unity among the Malaysians in QM. Everyone is a part of our big family. The Malaysian Society organizes social/cultural events, such as Eid festival, Chinese New Year Dinner, BBQs in the park and many others. Culinary-based events such as these provide the opportunity for members to tuck into much-missed Malaysian fare and in turn, for non-Malaysian members to sample a taste of Malaysia. Other social events include dance parties, sports carnivals, theatre visit and picnic days held throughout the year.

The Malaysian Society actively participates in cultural and ethnic events such as the annual Malaysia Nottingham Games, The Malaysian Student Leader Summit and other forums, projects and social events aimed at promoting cultural awareness and diversity. Additionally, the Society also teams up with other cultural societies to organize social events aimed to encourage our members to mingle with other cultures through sport, food or just by `hanging out’.

This year, we are continuing with our very own charity project; “Projek Cahaya”, aimed at promoting a sense of social awareness among our members. We will be organizing fundraising events and activities that will be aimed at helping the less fortunate.

Lastly, the ultimate goal of the Society is to ensure all our members from all walks of life have the time of lives whilst studying in London.
